Corey established Suffolk County Fish & Reef as a startup company after recognizing that Long Island did not offer the aquarium hobbyist a one-stop-shop for all their aquatic needs. Through comprehensive research, Corey concluded that the majority of companies on Long Island who deal with marine life are owned and/or operated by over-enthusiastic pet hobbyists who posess little to no business acumen. It was this niche opportunity that sprouted the creation of Suffolk County Fish & Reef, Inc.

Corey graduated with his MBA in 2000 while working full-time for the Long Island Rail Road. He is proud of the fact that he graduated at the top of his class while being employed full-time and never allowing his quality of work to diminish.
